Many Knowledge Quest graduates express interest in giving back to the community and several have volunteered and provided invaluable support to KQ. As directors realized that Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Bermuda/BBBS has ongoing need for mentors, they contacted Big Brothers and scheduled a Lunch and Learn on June 15th in Hamilton for KQ graduates and friends.

Scholarship charity Knowledge Quest celebrated its tenth anniversary this week. More than 140 students needing financial aid have been able to attend university through the charity’s assistance; more than 100 have graduated.
One of Knowledge Quest’s graduates had the idea to participate in the Argus Walk the Walk on Saturday, February 26, 2012.
Argus Walk the Walk is an annual event that raises money for dozens of Bermuda charities through contributions from supporters of the walkers and sign up fees. The thinking was that this would be a great way to get together with other KQ graduates and friends while supporting the charity with needed funding. The attached picture is of Knowledge Quest graduate Lynwood Trott (University of Western Ontario – BSc in Mathematics 2009) and his wife Darnell, Cynthia Cox (Knowledge Quest Director) and Eleanor Cox.
On Saturday March 10th Team Knowledge Quest, consisting of Barry Brewer, Heather Brewer, Gail Miller and Reid Henderson competed in the first ever Island Challenge event to raise funds for KnowledgeQuest, Raleigh International and the Bermuda Film Festival.
The event and the team was supported by Knowledge Quest students, graduates, friends and, directors including Jahkeel Quallo, Rodricka Pitcher, Mr and Mrs Lynwood Trott, Cynthia Cox and Sharon Bailie. This was the first ever Island Challenge and it was contested over the Bermuda Regiment’s endurance/assault course. Team Knowledge Quest managed to win its category after a raising lots of funds and then placing fairly well in their division. Thanks to all of our sponsors and volunteers.
